We have signed a contract for the modernisation of the technical facilities of the Regional Court Warsaw-Praga building. The project includes replacing the VRF air-conditioning installation together with integration with the existing building management system (BMS) and will be delivered in stages, in an operating building, while maintaining the continuity of the court's work and the service of visitors. Completion of the works is planned for the end of 2027.
The scope of works focuses on the installations responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the building, which are of significant importance for the working conditions and service of people using the court. The modernisation includes, among other things, demolition works, installation of a new air-conditioning system, works on electrical installations, and the extension of the BMS, enabling more coherent and efficient management of the facility's technical infrastructure. Finishing works, adapted to the schedule of successive stages of the investment, will be carried out in parallel.
The project has been divided into five stages spread over 2026–2027. In 2026 the first three stages are planned, while in 2027 the next two will be carried out. This model allows the modernisation to be carried out in an orderly and predictable way, without having to take the building out of current use. Given the nature of the institution, the works will be carried out mainly at night, and during the day in such a way as not to disrupt the functioning of the justice system.
– This is a project requiring very precise coordination, because it is carried out in an operating public building. What is crucial for us is the safety of the building's users and planning the works so that the court can function without interruption – stresses Waldemar Lipiec, Vice-President of the Management Board of GRUPA KDM.
Although the modernisation concerns mainly the technical facilities, its significance is practical and long-term. Changes, often invisible at first glance, directly affect the stability of the building's operation, working comfort and the quality of service to visitors. Delivery in stages makes it possible to raise the standards of the facility's functioning gradually, without disorganising the court's daily work.
The modernisation of the Regional Court Warsaw-Praga is another project confirming GRUPA KDM's experience in running complex projects in public utility buildings, where what matters is a predictable process, multi-discipline coordination, and responsible conduct of works in a functioning institutional environment.
