The second campus of Łazarski University will be built at ul. Jutrzenki in Warsaw — the university has signed a contract with Grupa KDM Sp. z o.o. for design works for the modernisation of a newly purchased office building. The seven-storey building, with an area of more than 7,000 m², will house the teaching facilities of the Faculty of Medicine together with the Medical and Dental Simulation Centre. The design works will be completed in the second quarter of 2027, and the first students will start classes at the new campus in autumn 2028.
Contract signed at the end of June
The ceremonial signing of the contract took place at the end of June at the headquarters of Łazarski University at ul. Świeradowska in Warsaw. Our scope of work includes preparing the design for the comprehensive modernisation of the existing office building and adapting it to the requirements of a modern teaching unit. The design works will be completed in the second quarter of 2027.
Second Łazarski University campus: seven storeys, more than 7,000 m²
The second Łazarski University campus will be located in a seven-storey building with an area of more than 7,000 m² in Warsaw's Włochy district. The building will be fully adapted for educating future doctors and dentists. It will include modern teaching rooms and the Medical and Dental Simulation Centre — spaces designed so that students acquire practical skills in conditions that reflect everyday work with a patient.
The new campus will be the teaching base of the entire Faculty of Medicine — students of medicine, dentistry and psychology.
The rigour of a laboratory facility in a teaching building
Adapting an office building for medical education requires combining two technical orders that rarely occur together: the installation rigour of laboratory facilities and the functionality of spaces through which hundreds of people pass every day. The building will be equipped with advanced technical installations and infrastructure enabling learning with specialist equipment. This determines the design from the very first layout decisions — from the routing of installations, through ventilation and the hygiene requirements of simulation rooms, to load-bearing capacity and acoustics.
“Projects for the healthcare and medical education sector are among the most technically demanding — they combine the installation rigour of laboratory facilities with the functionality of modern teaching spaces. Adapting the building at ul. Jutrzenki as the second campus of Łazarski University is a task exactly within our specialisation. We will make sure that future doctors and dentists are educated in a space at the highest technological level.”
Paweł Bachorz, EMBA, Vice-President of the Management Board of Grupa KDM Sp. z o.o.
The next stage in the development of the Faculty of Medicine
The investment is a response to the development of the Faculty of Medicine of Łazarski University, which is consistently expanding its educational offer. After launching the medicine programme and obtaining the consent of the Polish Accreditation Committee to run the first dentistry programme in Poland at a non-public university, Łazarski is expanding its teaching infrastructure to match the scale of these activities.
“Developing modern teaching infrastructure is one of the pillars of our strategy. We want to provide students with learning conditions at the level of the best academic centres in Europe. Signing the contract for the new campus is another important step in building the position of Łazarski University as a leader in non-public medical education in Poland.”
Marta Rosińska-Kortas, President of Łazarski University
Location: Włochy, at Warszawa Aleje Jerozolimskie station
The building at ul. Jutrzenki is in the immediate vicinity of the SKM and WKD Warszawa Aleje Jerozolimskie station, which will give students and teaching staff convenient access to the new educational space. Until the investment is completed, classes in medicine and dentistry will take place on the campus at ul. Świeradowska.
